Does the crankbait bite go all winter? Just looking for open water shore fishing opportunities.

The jig bite away casting away from the boat is going well the way it sounds!

I've caught trout and white bass on Husky Jerks/jointed Raps well into the 1st of Dec. When winter sets in I stop going down there as IME; even during a warm spell you're dealing with a 5-10ft slab of line cutting ice jutting out from the bank/wingwalls. It's a pisser.

Only reason I quit fishing the rocks was because of snow and ice making them too treacherous. The fish are more lethargic in the winter but who know might still be something they aggressively hit
