[QUOTE="Vollmer, post: 495976, member: 8014"] Went out fishing, yesterday morning. The forecast was for light wind, and nice temps, so we couldn't resist. In all honesty, we could have used more wind. The bugs were crazy! Even with the bugs, it was well worth it. The fishing was OUTSTANDING! We kind of ran the same program we have been running for the past couple of weeks, pulling flicker minnows at about 2.2 mph. This time, we did find some fish in 17-18 fow, and in 20-22 fow, but the bulk of what we found, and caught, was in that 30 fow range, which meant we were keeping everything we caught, pretty much. Luckily, what we caught was all in that 16-19 inch range. Perfect eaters!! The water temp is still warm, in the low 70's, and for whatever reason, green colored crankbaits have been our best. From fire tiger, to a green topped/white bellied style, but also the blue smelt has been good. The water is coming down, continuously, and I really hope it only drops so far. I am hoping to be able to use the far Parshall Bay ramp again next year, worst case scenario, but we'll need some water next spring either way. I'm sure people are catching fish in multiple different ways. This is just what has been working for us. Hopefully everyone can get out there and enjoy it the next couple of weekends.
