I've listened to chairman Archbault twice this week on the radio. Pretty much lost all respect for the protesters. I live near the future Fargo dam and know what it feels like to have something shoved down your throat. The big money people in Oxbow and the greedy leaders of Fargo are the only voices that were heard. The chairman has said its a peaceful, prayerful protest. I guess he hasn't seen the video of the people on horses charging at law enforcement and pulling off at the last second. Today he commented about disturbing the earth under the river and having man-made earthquakes like the ones in Oklahoma from all the fracking that's been done there. I guess I'm confused at how he's so concerned about the pipe breaking and contaminating the water but yet they have no problem with all the oil wells on the reservation???? So he's worried about the earth under the river and the water in the river but the land doesn't matter???? Evidently the money from the oil wells is clouding his vision.I for one am glad they pulled the water and supplies from them. I'm all for people protesting in the appropriate manner(emphasis on this) but tax dollars shouldn't be used to support them. If I was to protest the Fargo dam I sure wouldn't expect taxpayer resources.
