At 11 this morning I threw the dog and wife into the pickup to go see for myself how ice access is. (I haven't been ice fishing yet);:;banghead Drove to Audubon, first stop Totten Trail, lots of people and houses out. Looks like someone is plowing out quit a few trails and people are spreading out to the east. Looks like driving around is ok as long as you pick your way around the heavy snow\drifts. Next drove over to the east end cabin site, at the curve going through the lake, on the south side you can get on at the dirt ramp and get on the ice. A few houses in the bay. Tried getting to Velva Bay, took the second gravel road going south, got as far as the T in the road and had to turn around. Went back to the cabin site boat ramp and that is plowed out also. a few houses and people spread out there. Went to Fort Stevenson south of Garrison, roads to the boat ramps plowed out, but the guy didn't plow out the west ramp. A couple different groups fishing Garrison Bay (walked out). The road to the east ramp is plowed right to the ramp and someone drove out through the gap in the old marina. Tracks went to the east, they went out and came back. On a side note seen a butt load of deer and pheasants out in the fields eating. When we came out of Fort Stevenson at 1:30 there was at least 100, if not more, pheasants coming out of the big tree grove on the east side of the road. Had to drive through them at 5 mph. They would just walk off to the side of the highway.
