Where to order signs

I was wondering what was in this thread based on the title. I thought it had to do with Jeff Foxworthy's, "Here's your sign".

Bitching about getting a negative rep and calling people snowflakes? What a dumb thread anyway for an outdoor site. You can't figure out by yourself where to get posted signs? If you just want a dozen go to Menards. You're welcome.

I'm not bitching about rep. Just pointing it out (maybe it was you) that was so offended they needed to dish out rep. Didnt mean to cause a fecal storm. By signs I meant permanent signs with custom lettering. The prices seem to run far and wide so i'm asking from experienced folks about their recommendations. Of which it seems you have none. I'm gonna pickle a muskie just for you this year.

Why do people get so darn upset about posted signs and posted land? I would bet the majority that are so uptight about it have never gone and asked to hunt on the posted land. Some post the land just so they know who is on it and some post it for themselves or their families and then some let you on after they have harvested their game. Some is posted because people abused the land and the situation by driving on the land, shooting out their pickup windows, or throwing garbage out of their vehicles.
Hey if it really ticks you off that the land is posted go out and buy a 1/4 or 1/2 section of land. Maybe i am just too darn old and brought up old school that if you own something it is yours to do with what you think is right as long as it is within the law.

The nicer your signs are, the more temping for people to shoot at them IMO. Put up cheap ones and replace them when necessary I figure. Dont forget your name and phone number!

I just buy the metal ones at Menards and put name and address on with a household label maker. If put on when its warm out it is about impossible to get off.

Would be nice to be able see who leads in negative rep giving.

Volmer should have an "end of the year" clearance and open the rep deal up for everyone to see who gave what. Kind of a seasons greetings present for those fellas not brave enough to sign their name.

Sometimes people need a bit of help finding the courage to do the right thing.

Heard a good one last weekend, not that I was upset. Saw a couple coyotes down SW of Jmst. on posted land Stopped and talked with the rancher to see if could get permission. He said no, he had just gotten a new muzzle loader and wanted to hunt them. I just smiled and said good luck. must be pretty good at calling...

Maybe longshot is one of those land owners that also likes the idea of public land open to sportsman. But he likes the idea as to who is going to hunt his land. I see this as a respect thing that a land owner would appreciate a call. There is a land owner off of Nelson county 1 he has such a sign basically gives permission to hunt has his phone number and name clearly marked on his sign. That is what I would consider respect there has been some members who have posted the same idea about asking before proceeding to hunt.
Ps calling people snowflakes is just plain mean spirited

I hate passive-aggressive comments like that. Just because you’re a landowner everyone should kiss your ass. I pay lots of taxes too. I may have overreacted a bit with my comment, but I can have an opinion too.

Yes, its unfortunate. But when the rest of the county is posted (near a town that gets overrun with sconies) we have no choice but to limit some of the hunting otherwise our land turns into the local bicycle that everyone gets a ride on. And the few times a year we want to enjoy it there is nothing left. The more posted signs that go up, the more posted signs will get put up because everyone is protecting there little sliver of ground. Vicious cycle.....anyways, thats a discussion for another time.

No, I didn’t give you negative rep but I did get my second negative rep ever for my comment. At least he signed it, so I can respect that.

I think I’ve taken lots of pickling musky comments in stride, so I think getting negative reps for an opinion is pretty lame though.
