5.6 ft box pulling a fifh wheel

Just out of curiosity what kind of interest rate was offered here? That math doesn't seem to add up.:;:huh

    Buying a used wheelhouse

The two biggest things that come to my mind are as above mentioned axle issues presenting with uneven tire wear, and making sure the pivot points are not seized up.

    Long Term Care coverage

Working in the healthcare field, although as far away from long term care as possible, I can provide a little insight here. First off our system is ever changing and advancements and focus on preventative care have changed many dynamics. The likelihood of living longer only continues to...

Ice Castle, Grey Wolf, Yetti or ????

I think people get caught up in weight of the house. Stuck is stuck couple hundred pounds isn't going to change the amount of shoveling required or total inches of ice required to support the setup enough to worry about. If I were to get another ice castle I would get the 8x20 or 8x21 dual axle...

Ice Castle, Grey Wolf, Yetti or ????

I set my house down on 2x4 's to ensure I never freeze down and I never leave mine unattended for the same reason. If care is taken to properly bank around the house and utilize some sort of hole sleeve to make contact with the ice I feel you still get a good deal. I would encourage anyone with...

    Long Term Care coverage

I agree with this, assets amassed throughout ones life is exactly what should be utilized to pay these expenses. Proper estate planning is far more valuable to most than any insurance policy. Many would disagree with me but I see insurance as a necessary burden everyone must have on homes...

    Boat Depreciation

As ridiculous as the price of used is, nowhere near absurd as the prices of new rigs. My observation is certainly well cared for higher end model boats even up to 20 years old sell for much more than one would think. When comparing used $20,000 range boats to new or next to new $50,000 ballpark...

    New boat

Dream day for those owning a dealership is after a boat show people talking about toys costing $86,000ish and going over 100k.

    hardwater shanty towns

In part the shanty town exists due to established trails already on the ice and the piece of mind that if someone has driven there before me it must be ok. For me and my wheel house I at times end up where I see I won't worry about being stuck rather than where I may prefer to fish.

    Extended Vehicle Warranty

For how hard they push them I can't imagine they pay out near what they take in on premiums. Anyone with experience on actually getting claims paid?

    Cool Article Captain Brad!

Very cool read, amazing what is down there. Also very true there must certainly be some interesting finds under devils lake and sakakawea.

    Favorite Kind of ice shelter

I like my wheel house because the adventure of trying a new lake and making a multiple day vacation out of it outweighs mobility and likely possibility of catching more fish. The comfort of the wheel house allows my entire family to participate in an activity i would otherwise be doing myself.

    Observations

That is naive, who do you think is picking up the remainder of that balance? For those unable to pay full next will be the assets, once those are gone the system eats the cost aka passed on to someone else to cover.

    moose population growing bigly

I have seen near equal moose to deer sightings in several of my last north central ND deer hunts. I had a family member fill a tag a few years ago on a very nice bull, especially by North Dakota standards. My observations are days I'm on stand and see moose I am far less likely to see deer. My...

    Observations

To the original post I too have often wondered about these situations, but to each their their own. The problem I do have is knowing what percentage of rigs in these situations, or perhaps even more prevalent in both nice truck/toy combinations that are not paid for. People that have the means...

    One tag system

In my eyes this all boils down to opportunity. For those who state that available doe tags in far corners of the state translate into "equal opportunity" to participate I sadly disagree. Traveling in some instances 300 plus miles to an area with no personal or land contacts to stay in a hotel...

    Time for a new TV

I have had backlight outage on 2 Samsung sets in the last 4 years. Most recent was a smart unit, I like it's functionality and am still using it with the backlight to max and brighter color palette, looks ok in darker room. Most recent purchase was insignia smart set which is on greater than 8...

    That guy

This is the kind of confrontation that is becoming all too common while out fishing and hunting. When did such a simple pass time become so competitive and stressful? I kinda doubt anyone was going home hungry without a couple walleye fillets that night whether they arrived to their "pass time"...

When is the last time you saw a monarch?

I have seen many more this summer than in recent years past. Mother in law lets milkweed grow in the yard in lakes county Minnesota, they are always out there. I actually hit one in town with the roofline of my truck last week, thing made a thud like I had hit a bird. Amazing creatures, nice...
