Any truth to the rumor that an 18 lb walleye caught on the Missouri again?

I had heard rumors of a 17 and an 18 but haven’t seen any pictures or any confirmation as of yet

I’ve been hearing this rumor for 4 days now and nothing else has come out, I’m calling BS. Pics or it didn’t happen.

What is there to report? Obviously if 100 plus boats are out in a general area there are fish there.

Lincoln, kinda...
Oh, I'm sure there were fish there, but we didn't catch a thing. We fished from 4:30-7:30, there were about 8 boats fishing the honeyhole there. We ran north and pulled cranks up shallow going towards Eckroths. Nothing!

Went back to fish the honeyhole area a little before 7 and nary a boat remained, nor vehicles in the parking lot. Tried jigs with minnows for a total of one bite, then hit the rode home.

Allen: Lack of patience is obvious in your post. The absence of boats is like no shanty's on ice. You had the whole gd river to yourself...

The fish are there and can be caught. This must always be in your mind.

It's a "Zen" type deal supported by successful tournament fisherman and Bill Dance.

I caught on to that two weeks ago when I asked if the ramp was “ open” no replies , zero. So I took that as yes it is and fish are biting haha.

Allen: That first post read more harshly than I meant. The one fish I "conjure" up in rare solitude is gold and is usually better quality. You likely have a life...:)

River to low no spots for them to hide and too many of them damn fancy boats pulling boards 50 feet out each side. Damn fish went back south.

I heard it’s 18 lbs 2 oz and it’s a walleye/Zander cross. Came into the boat with the jig in its mouth and an old wooden rapala in front of its dorsal fin.

And I heard it was caught at Sweet Briar.
