Found dog: south of Washburn along river

Friend found this dog where the bowhunt has an orange shock collar and brown regular collar, McLean county took it to garrison vet clinic.

Bump to the top, I can't imagine someone doesn't want this dog back, I can't imagine someone leaving her with the training collar on her on purpose.

The dogs owner has been found. I'm glad to have found that out, just a reminder to dog owners have a tag or nameplate on your dogs.

very lucky dog owner, I hunt birds around garrison a few times every fall and more than once a out of stator drives through looking for a pointing dog.

I think it was last year or two years ago a guy had his two pointers run away near our land during deer season. we seen them a few times but could never get them to come to us and would run away from anyone who stopped. After about 4 days and the frigid weather and no sightings I figured they were dead. After about a week of being lost we found the female at an abandoned farmyard and she let us get a leash on her, the male I last seen about 5 miles away two weeks after running away and still wouldn't come near me. Never did see it again or hear what happened to it.

Very lucky to find that dog. Thats is always one of my fears to lose a dog.
