How thick is the ice at garrison and devils lake

Just want to plan a trip to Sakakawea

40 inches on Sak last Wednesday.

2 weeks ago found ice ranged between 18" to close to 30" south of New Town 5 miles. Spot was close to channel, a pressure ridge and springs. We caught nothing over 8"

Close to 40 inches yet in a bay on the East end of Sak yesterday. Long ways to go, will be interesting to see if the pike spawn below the ice.

We were on Devils on Sunday...shorelines/access were in good condition, everywhere we drilled was at least 40", glad I remembered the extension. Can get pretty much anywhere with a 4wd truck, not much snow left on the lake.
