I no longer launch at pelican. Too shallow for me. I also don't like digging mud with my prop. I will come from under the bridge if I want to fish Pelican.

I could easily see the lake going down 2 feet this year. There is relatively zero inflow into it this spring and some bays seem to already be receding.

It could but it also could rain like a sob and fill it.

Drifting the high plains
Rut2much that looks all to familiar. I go talked into that last year and I think the prop on my Mercury kicker was about six inches below the substrate. Like running oatmeal through the impeller. Oatmeal with rocks.

Because there's people who own land that's flooded. If some entity decides that Devils needs to stay as high as it is, then there's a buncha landowners that gotsta get PAID. The Garrison Diversion was to keep Devils Lake full.

Yah I get that and in my opinion the land owners should have been compensated from the beginning.

Shutting the pumps off doesn't mean ya got to pay anyone. Bring water in from mclusky? Now we gotta have that discussion.

UPDATE: Game and Fish came and took a look at this landing. The dock was pulled out due to low water levels. Sounds like the plan is to move it over to the old Black Tiger Landing area now.

Devils lake system water level needs to quit dropping.

Yes..... the pumps should be shut off . The resort owners should be telling about how to get water instead of get rid of it

Great more pressure on a area that is fished out

Looks like I may need to plunder Howard Bay to avoid the long commute and the lower unit killin sunken roads up on the north end.

If anyone find a hot spot within a mile of one of the boats ramps, please be kind enough to post coordinates!!
