I just acquired an old one similar to this. However it is some what dirty with some rusty areas.
Any suggestions on how to clean it up. Thanks!

Dish soap under the faucet. Will also clean the "pores" after use.

Thanks, I had a lid from an old cake pan and added 1/2 inch of vinegar. Went side by side and had a palm sander with fine paper. Worked very well (y) Thank you very much.
You can also use dish soap under a damn faucet and help prevent the spread of Covid 19.
