Anyone see Shorelunch Fish Fry in any Bismarck stores? Specifically Fish Fry! Cannot find it anymore. Maybe discontinued? McCormick Fish Fry is very good and Walmart has it, but would like some Shorelunch with Lent starting.

Looks like Menards should stock Original, Oven Style, Beer Batter, and Cajun, not sure if any is what you are looking for...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't all shore lunch considered fish fry? Most if not all grocery stores in Bismarck carry it. Cornmeal is my favorite.

Shore Lunch is in Walmart. I bought the Cajun & Oven Baked at the north store. I've also seen it in Runnings as stated above.

I usually use shorelunch to but tried some called "Andy's" the other day in the oven . Was very impressed. but its more of a cornmeal breading vs flour based like shorelunch.

Gourmet coating is our go to breading. Sometimes I mix it half and half with fine ground cornmeal.

Agree with ^^^^^. Andy's is my favorite as with more cornmeal and less flour the breading is thinner on the fish. I like more fish with less breading versus the opposite. Also has pretty tasty seasoning without being over powering.

I buy shore lunch a lot , but lots of times use saltine crackers . Just mush them up and throw the fish in the bag . It's great

Shorelunch Original and Shorelunch Cajun, mixed together, is just right for me. Just a little zing (I'm Norwegian so it don't take much).

We had a fry Monday, and come to think of it, there's still a couple pieces in the fridge.

My favorite is to mix the original and the mild cajun legendary northwoods batter especially if I’m doing the full on beer batter deep frying thing, but it’s good pan frying too. I do use shore lunch to change things up occasionally though

You guys are missing out. Throw away the breading, and fry in some olive oil with your choice of seasoning. Best walleye I've ever had.

Even better than olive oil frying:

1 small can of evaporated milk with 1/2 that amount of beer--use as a pre-batter. Then coat with 1/2 crushed soda cracker-1/2 Potato buds. Pan fry in lite oil, or deep-fat fry in 350 degree oil til just nicely browned.

Ahab: The rabbit fry is only for procrastinators: so they'll hop to it & get frying! Plus, nobody likes hair (hare) in their breading!
