We have a Weston stainless steel sealer, not sure of model, but Cabelas used to have the same one with their name on it. It is fast and seals really well so the bags don't leak when tossed around in the freezer. Highly recommend.

As Shotgun Red would say, those patented pebbled textures on the foodsaver bags are designed to suck air from the back of the bag...
and suck money from your wallet.

Link on Amazon?

Ive had great luck with the Ultrasource bags and are all over Amazon. I went to a 4 mil bag as my jerky and bone in chops were poking through the thinner bags. Doesn’t happen too often with the thicker ones. If I do get a leaker, I typically just throw the leaker in another bag and seal the whole thing in...seems to do the trick.

This got delivered today. Haven’t used it yet but it seems like a well built machine so far.

I know this is an older thread but after owning several various Foodsavor vacuum sealers, including a some of the their better ones and always let down with them after a year or two, I finally got fed up and bought a LEM MaxVac 500 about a year ago. We primary use ours for fish and wild-game with occasional other uses. so far so good. a much heavier built unit made for basically continuous use. I've been very happy with it so far.
