North Dakota Game and Fish Department district game warden Corey Erck is investigating the possible illegal shooting of a white-tailed deer found on Bismarck Parks and Recreation District land near the Nishu Archery Complex in south Bismarck, according to a press release.
The deer was found dead with an arrow in it.
“I don’t believe this animal was shot as part of the bow season within the city limits,” Erck said in the press statement. “It was near the practice range, and was shot with a field point and not with a broadhead.”
Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact the Report All Poachers telephone number at 800-472-2121. or contact Erck directly at 701-320-2005. Callers can remain anonymous.
