I'll be in the area this weekend. Got a cattle move to do on Saturday and then a bday party out at Van Hook on Sunday. Regrettably, I won't be bringing a floater. :(

I can throw in another chair.

Uggh, that makes chasing cattle seem even an uglier proposition given the weather forecast. Thanks for rubbing it in. I may wander around the Hook a little late on Sat, and for sure on Sunday. I'll look for all the empty blue num nums.

Woohoo, I finally figured out what to give my stepdad for his birthday.

A fishing trip out of Van Hook (if the wind allows, otherwise we'll go elsewhere).

So while I don't have the flexibility in my schedule to take any of the WOW fellas, I will have at least two vets on the Toon. Be on the lookout for a red Southbay tritoon with a 150 Merc. We will probably get out late on Sat and very early on Sun.

Big shoutout to Fishreaper and his wife for this event that they put on. Even with the heat and slow fishkng, we managed to get my boat on some fish. Ended up with six fish, a 23” being the biggest.

Super stoked that all y'all were able to get on a few fish. Kinda bummed that I wasn't able to share a beverage.

I only made it out Sunday morning at the Hook. We motored through the waves to Shell and badda boom, we had two eyes in the boat by 7:30. Then fished until 1100 with only one more caught. We had a number of bites that we missed, again most were well before 0800. Using crawlers on spinners with and without slow death hooks. All our fish were caught between 13 and 17 ft.

yuo found some nice and shallow. saturday i got the family up and launched just as the last WOW boats were going out. tried running abut the 2 miles south to the flat i was at the night before but with the brood aboard, my 17.5ft boat, mother hen wasnt real happy about the roughness of the water so i turned around and pulled cranks literally from the north side of the boat ramp to the tressel. it was a fun morning. we caught bass, shiners, a pike and boxed 4 walleyes. between 830-1130. 2 walleyes came in 22, 1 in 26 and the biggest just under 25" came in 28ft. overall fun morning. almost constant action for the boys and was pretty happy there was a few walleyes left up there for the box.
