Looks like a stick idea. They are only around a grand also. Would be a lot easier than taking the kayak out in the dark.

Every time I am in Florida the locals are always laughing at a lot of the fishermen who think they need to be fishing and or casting so far off the beach or shore like that, the locals always say the best fish are closer to the beach shore than most think sharks included.
