In this video, I'm diving headfirst into something completely new for me: targeting walleyes with jerkbaits. As a seasoned guide, I'm usually focused on jigging & bottom-bouncing. I've also made tons of videos with jigging raps and tried some other techniques such as dropshots, but I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could master something totally foreign: the jerkbait.
Join me on this learning journey as I experiment with different retrieves, depths, and conditions to crack the code. You'll see my first-hand struggles, my "Aha!" moments, and exactly what it took to finally figure out how to trigger those walleyes on a jerkbait.
