Anybody own one? Seems like cheap insurance. Can anyone recommend make/model?
right - you posted flirtin - I followed up with whiskey - then I see two whiskeys - maddening
A buddy of mine bought one from Amazon. He uses it regularly and it seems to work. To get an accurate test, you have to not drink booze for at least 10 min. If I take a few sips on a beer and then hit it, its way over .08. Wait 10 min and drink a sip of water? Way below .08. What I am saying is there are a lot of variables. And it wouldn't hold up in court anyways. To get a unit calibrated is really spendy. He mentioned that he did a TON of research and said this is the ones the cops use, but the cops units are alot more expensive because the cops units are calibrated. Its fun to play around with nonetheless. We have used it after each beer and see how much your BAC goes up. It takes a couple to get going, but as you drink the 5-6-7-8 beer, your BAC really climbs fast.

We paid 100 bucks one way to take a cab from my buddies house in the hills just outside Sturgis to the Buffalo chip (5 miles) and another 110 bucks to get home after the kid Rock concert at 2 am. Best $210 a guy could spend. Not that I am a wealthy man, but that is cheap insurance right there. We drank, ate, smoked cigars, drank some more, likely sobered up after the 2 hour rain delay, but still would rather avoid a situation after making it this long with a clean record.
After using one a friend purchased, I realized I have a gift of low booze in my breath regardless of consumption. You can also learn ways to blow with more fresh air, less booze breath. My gift was confirmed once by game & fish on the Missouri river - .09 after long day on the river, luckily .1 is limit in a boat.....:;:thumbsup
