I won one this spring at a white tails banquet. Haven't tried using it yet though. Seems to be of decent quality.

aluminum or stainless?

They're aluminum. I would recommend you buy the grate that sits on the bottom to prevent burning the food.. They work great, I usually do a can feed or two every year.. Can of beer, some seasonings, sausage, veggies, corn, potatoes, etc. that you can fit into it.

Won one at a NWTF banquet. Used it one time at my bachelor party to make chili. It was a pretty big hit. Haven't used it since. Kinda forgot about it until I saw this post.

update...

i picked 1 up (2 gallon + bottom grate) and gave er a whirl... used 1.5# of home made cheddarwurst, 2# of garden spuds, 1# garden carrots, 1 bag frozen broccoli, 1 pack frozen corn on the cob, 16oz chicken broth, and some spices... it was full to the top...

was in a hurry and cooked on 8-9 on the gas stove for 50 minutes... says to cook on medium, but thought i know better... it steamed off and on the whole time, so i figured i was good... came in to check it after 50 minutes, and it was scorching a little bit on the bottom...

took it off right away and pulled the cover to pour in some water, but was too late for the liquid, as that was scorched... my fault...

all the food was done and very good... will cook on medium next time... i will use this when busy all day (hunting or fishing) and want a good easy hot meal that can cook quickly during happy hour...

overall, i was happy... i cooked for 6, could of fed 10, and dirtied the cooker and the pan i dumped everything into, and everything was done at the same time... i'll be sperimenting this fall...

:;:cheers
