So, I took a kid fishing (flycarpin) last Saturday and decided to test the durability of a brand new stainless prop. Barely in idle, I bent over two edges before I could hit the trim button. I ran it back to Bismarck Prop Works on Monday morning and received a call yesterday telling me it was finished. I picked it up today and it looks like it's brand new again. Fantastic company.

Awesome company. Fast, good prices, and excellent work. And that'll teach you to go bass fishing with a miscreant like me

I agree... I took one into them last year, hope I don't need to be a repeat customer soon but I probably will

I use a rubber mallet, crescent wrench, and various size oak logs to bend my aluminum props back. It's surprising how close a guy can get them back to perfect.

It'd be great to buy a "mandrel" for my prop - boy would that go faster than sorting through oak logs of the right angle/cup. Wonder how much they run?

Lincoln, kinda...
I've had aluminum props repaired there in the past. They do good work.

One thing I will note though is I lost about 200 rpm with each repair. This was on an aluminum 19P semi-cleaver prop, Yamaha factory version.

I've not had to get a stainless repair yet, but do have a candidate for going in this fall for a little bit of touchup.

He's a good'ol government hating guy too! Does he still have the banner up behind the desk that says, "6.5% discount for cash"? Best thing ever.

With the proper snatch-block early in life a guy'd be able to afford his own set of pitch-blocks whenever he wanted them.

I think I see what you did there. And you are right. I have a friend who married recently, but before he married, he had a boat, Harley, side-by-side and a couple of sleds. And a real honest-to-goodness helicopter.

I need to pay him a visit this fall when I bring my boat back from Devils Lake. I found a "road sign" on DL on the first trip out with my new 4 blade SS.
