Cyber"badgering" then?

when somebody sees that it's a post or reply by someone they have a grudge with - so they use that opportunity to make some "cute" little jabby reply - cloaked as an earnest contribution to the discussion - that's cyberbadgering or cyberstalking

in other words being an a$$ simply to dog another NDA member

it gets so old

also - I have only neg rep'd maybe a dozen times and it's never been in retaliation or to defend myself - it's usually to some guy being an a$$ towards someone's pic, or being super crude for the sake of crude, etc. And normally it's a member who rarely posts on NDA - some a$$wipe that just pops in to be an a$$ like certain "sacks" of the past who came/went

Seems like young people are more proud of profanity than older, personally I think it indicates lower intelligence, but I work in the oilfiled where it is required for effective communication. I wish I did not swear, I work at not swearing, but f*ck it, sometimes I got to let one rip...

How does one badger a walleye photo.. seems like a serious skill set...

I haven't read most of this so if some else said this I'm sorry. But I thought it was intended for users to give out to those that are acting like trolls, AND if you have more negative than positive it keeps you from posting???? If used correctly and by everyone, the members could then silence the troll...I think. Not sure if that ever happened though.

Where do you think us young people learned it from. surely wasnt from morning cartoons. most likely culprit was hanging around hunting camp and the fish cleaning station.

Wait a minute, I resemble that statement. You could have just said marbleyes guy so everyone would know who you're talking about. Occasionally I do respond to asswipe though so I picked up on what you were laying down.

Very perceptive WW. I think us older folks were guilty at one time in our life or another, but I don't think we were proud of it. I think more people should own a dictionary so they can express themselves. If the average Joe off the street read some of these posts what would they think? I can just see some bunny hugger making a big deal of It and calling us knuckle dragging hunters.

I think that's what the unsigned neg rep thing is all about.

See above quote from guywhofishes. You are right of course in saying not many.

So your proud of your foul mouth?

Well it was learned first fishing and hunting with dad and his buddies then at the race track but i new i did not swear around the grown ups. Then basic training some of my Drill Sargent could put words together that i didnt even know could go together. Now in construction some people just dont get it till you add and f here a s there and and a here all together and flowing like snoop do double g on the chronic

I'm not 100% sure how to check for bad or good rep points. I think I used to know, and I think I even gave some good rep points a time or two, but it's not high on my list of importance.

I think it would be nice if a person would have to sign the reps - good or bad. But I think that often times it's figure-outable.

In an internet argument, in my own opinion, if you can't get your point across in three posts, give it up. Nobody cares anymore. And the first person to devolve into profanity or personal name-calling (you buncha queers) loses.

At the end of the day, I like to fish, catch fish, and laugh. Those are my favorite things (that I can do without a woman around).

One would think as adults we could moderate this individually ourselves.

Discussions will have different opinion and statements, it just that behind fictitious names we go beyond and to make one feel better try to destroy the other with our words in order to win the conversation. So we get thick skin but sometimes it just goes way beyond what should be said, it hurts and then we all know what happens.

I had a wounded buck come up to the feed pile a few years ago from, I believe, fighting during the rut. Nice size and horns but all broken up. All the other bucks would not let him come up to eat and so for the other bucks, they were trying to destroy him. We as humans tend to do the same thing, its in our genes.

So I feel either monitor ourselves, let V moderate which I am sure takes more time than one has or like FB find a different site. move and let this site go the same way FB did. Then work on destroying the new site.

It is up to each one of us so get ones crab together, start drinking old mill. However, as an old man, more ladies picture would be nice. db

I have never had my buddy that is "connected" check someone out on this site or any other.

Not everyone in this discussion can say that.

In most cases sarcasm is good natured. I'd gladly buy the person a beer and bullshit about hunting or whatever with them. In cases where that has happened we have actually gotten along pretty good.

In the case sarcasm is not good natured , it is the form I use instead of sending an anonymous bad rep point.

I can easily deal with most anyones crap sarcastic or real.........but when people choose to bring my family into the bullshit (which a handful of people on here and in this discussion have), those people will get no slack for their stupid shit they post until there is an apology for that one thing.

I tolerate no one messing with my family.

Oh lying constantly while talking about your church involvement ranks up there as well.

I can relate. After years of farming, oilfield, and the Marine Corps, I am now "expected" to behave like a civilized member of society just because I have kids?

It's tough, and I kid you not, we often have conversations about swearing and when it is, or is not, appropriate. My kids lead a sheltered life and are 9 and 11.

Geez Guy. Has someone really brought past grudges over to new threads? That would be cyberbullying and kind of lame.

I don't recall having to take you out to the Rep Shed - but I suppose it maybe happened?

Someone pee in your cheerios?

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
