It's a sad state of events in this country when a busnines like this closes its doors, to places where some of their products will never be used. Northland tackle produced some of the best ice fishing lures for decades. It's the same with lindy being gobbled up by a bigger company only to produce products that were never made with the same quality as the original. It's a sad situation

Lunk, this is just like Bass Pro Shops buying Cabelas. It sucks and the products will never be the same again.

End of an era. Maybe if they do go Temu quality it’ll leave a hole in the market for someone new to step in.

That's kind of the reason I started the other thread on discontinued lures, the biggest reason quality has hit the crapper is because everything is made overseas so the quality us older gents remember is gone. Granted with quality the price is a factor but I still will pay for quality products that I know will last longer even over many seasons where these products will sit. Oh well just thought I would share with the community.

Their spinnerbaits are the best by far. I hope I can still get a version. I know of no other brand which allows attachment by clip.

That’s not the sad part. No soap box it’s just a fact quality isn’t as good when sold out to big corps.
The man retired.. it sucks but no need to make it something it's not

Been saying this for months: Trouble is a few goad them. I sadly regret I'm on record encouraging some of the bullshit. They make active threads disappear and we keep "enjoying" the faggot :ROFLMAO:'s of cognitive dissonance or stupidity:

^^^^The above is another example of "Ignorance is NOT bliss".

That is all.

Yet another SVN "opinion" fed to him and us by a talking head. Enjoyed the irony of the video tho. Groupthink and stupidity, I've seen that somewhere

Hopefully the new owners use better quality treble hooks on their buckshot rattle spoons. For the price of those damn things the hooks shouldn't bend on a 17" walleye.

In the weeds
GSM Outdoors has quite the portfolio of outdoor companies under its umbrella. Not certain, but I'm guessing Northland will continue to do business as they always have just under new ownership. But if you're like me, I have enough northland jigs to last the rest of my life and likely my grandkids' life as well.

IDK, I've been getting some pretty good quality tackle off there. Honestly the best standard lead head jigs for the price ive found yet...its not even worth buying hooks and pouring my own anymore.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t used Temu. Just using the term based on some of the low quality stuff I’ve seen from them elsewhere.
