It is incredibly common in most any sport for fans and even sportswriters to not give a new coach credit or criticism for what happens the first year since it is not really 100% his team yet. The credit or criticism starts the second full season. I didn't say fantasy leagues and betting hadn't been going on for years, you can't add words to fit your narrative. I said it is creating a shitty product. For example, Justin Jefferson quitting on interceptions vs Cris Carter trying to take a DB's head off after Rich Gannon throws a pick. JJ pretty obviously only cares about HIS numbers and not the team. Since you tried to fire up the way back machine with the 1993 reference, I was around for all the super bowl losses and very clearly remember the last one. With that, and the fact you actually want the Vikings to lose, why don't you quit posting on a Viking thread and start a fantasy football thread?
And this is why the Vikings always end up mid pack. And never get a chance at one of the top qb and have to reach. I don’t want them to loose but I’m not loosing my shit if they do meaningless games that do nothing but hurt the team in the years to come. Nailer had to make you horny causing a fumble on the one int and even recovering it. Ya cris Carter has how many super bowls to show for his tackling efforts?

Never ever call anyone a football rube again, unless you are looking in a mirror. You may know all the stats and salary cap bullshit blah blah blah, but you have ZERO feel for the game itself and it shows.
What does winning in Seattle yesterday get you

Cris Carter headhunting after an interception is EVERYTHING. Carter, 11 seasons with the Vikings. TWO losing seasons. Justin Jefferson, six seasons with the Vikings, FOUR losing seasons. GET IT YET?

Haha feel for the game settle down Facebook gm and go wear your signed cris carter jersey and relive the glory years. Only guy who spends more time in the past is Al Bundy talking about his four touchdowns for Polk high in Chicago city championship.

All i know is someone needs to answer to such a dismal year so far, with the way the vikes handled carson wentz, to the bad draft picks and terrible coaching. I haven't seen the vikes make this bad of a off season changes ever, and it only looks to be getting worse. I said it before there is absolutely no reason to give a player 30 million a year unless he is a qb. Giving cousins top pay was bad but a reciever no way, biily B would have given him jj his walking papers. But i don't blame jj for bad timing with a rookie qb either

As far as koc and his record so far, consider this tony dungy was fired by Tampa bay in 2001, jon gruden coached in 2002 and won a superbowl. As far as names go and bragging rights jon gruden lifted the Lombardi not tony

Sure. And you are a complete number crunching nerd genius who doesn't actually understand the game, but doesn't care as long as the players on your fantasy team are doing well. Do you try to talk to them on game day through the screen and try to pump them up for a good game? For themselves of course. Piss on the team.

You keep making stuff up and have very bad reading comprehension. This season specifically is done and even funnier I don’t have a single person from the Vikings on my fantasy team(probably why I’m in 1st)and furthermore the defense holding Jsn to 2 catches and 23 yards is what I was happy about. Doesn’t the defense allowing the other teams best receiver who is on track to break the single season receiving yards record help the team? Maybe it is time to switch teams for you seem so bitter it’s supposed to be fun,

And yes I do talk to them through the screen just like people yell at race cars on a race track or horses running. It’s not going to help but it’s fun

I've got 50 plus years in as a fan, its too late for me to quit. And damn right l get bitter, especially to anyone that would want them to lose to get better draft picks. The thought of it is ridiculous.

Carson Wentz has the most passing yards of all the Vikings QB's this year. Almost 300 yards more then JJ in 1 less game played. They should resign him if nothing more as a quality backup next year.

Again reading comprehension is lacking I never said I wanted them to loose but not winning for the long term gives the team a chance to improve through the draft. It’s why the Vikings are continually a middle of the team road.

Whichever else analogy that comes to mind is what they tried to do and it absolutely backfired. You spend all this money on the team and put it all on the line with a rookie qb, this is what the odds say happens.

If darnold wins 1 of those 2 games at the end of last year, we're not even having this convo. That's what really sucks!

Life as a vikings fan is always "what could have been.."
