There are numbers of states that restrict weapons. All states have min caliber restrictions. Some have archery only areas and shotgun only areas or straight wall cartridge only areas. Alot have magazine restrictions for hunting big game.
The more I learn about other states the more interested I get with ways to not necessarily restrict hunting but open other opportunities. Primitive Rifle (iron sights only) is showing up more and then the primitive muzzy (no intine and iron sights I believe).
For as long as I could remember Clay was largely shotgun, muzzy or handgun only since the 1950's as a way to help increase the deer population due to low numbers, obviously that also bled into population density arguments in the future. By my new understanding it was opened up to all firearms in 2025.
If there is a public hearing on the matter and hunters want to keep the whole county open to all firearms then lots of people better plan to show up and voice their opinion because I can about guarantee that the anti-gun/hunters, non-hunters that don't understand/people that don't even leave town most of the time will be there.
