It would be so easy, Sportsman's apply for a tag. And have application process go on for a week. One week later the results are out. No different than left over Deer tags.

Call game and fish and ask them what they plan on doing with the leftover elk tags. Let us know what they say.

No need to. I just go by what they put on their website last Tuesday . Before it had total tags now it has these numbers . Who knows

Nearly 90 antlerless elk licenses remain in three units after the initial drawing. Unsuccessful resident elk applicants will be eligible to apply online for remaining licenses via a second lottery. The application deadline for the second lottery and other details are still being determined. Applicants who receive an antlerless elk license in the second lottery are not eligible to apply for an elk license in future years.
