I'm honestly torn between just buying a point and focusing on getting my son's youth tag filled, or trying to draw and see if we can double up this year.

How's it work: If you don't draw first zone, first choice, you get to keep your points, right?

I applied last night. I have 0 points so I should get drawn for a buck again this year.

Also have 12 points for muzzy, hoping to get that to.

As a father who had kids with the youth tag the past 2 years, buy the point. My son shot his buck the second day of the season two years ago. Last year I hunted all three weekends with my daughter and she shot her buck on the last day of the season. There are a lot of "what if" scenarios and at the end of the day if you spend time with them, it will be a successful season.

Correct, if you do not draw your first choice then you keep your points.
