We have a place in north central Minnesota and I will walk trails in the woods. I
don’t think these guys who advocate for forest clean up have any clue how thick it is. I’ve often wondered how the first people traveling thru northern Minnesota were able to get thru or around these forests.

We have forest like that in the hills where I live in ND but it's mostly oak, ash and aspen , Iv'e seen results from many lightning strikes and all it does is explode the trees and char them. I was working at Custer SD when a lightning storm came through, I sat in my pickup and watched lightning hit pine and it was an instant fire. Those things burn like that have gas poured on them.

That's exactly right. Look at the very thickest tree claim around a ND farmstead and take that x 100,000. No way in hell are you going in and cleaning that up or do controlled burns in there.
