Is there any merit to trumps claim that has prices will drop like a lead balloon after midterms ? I don't understand where he is coming from.

His position is that Iran is going to string along the fighting to humiliate Trump and keep oil prices high so the American voters will vote for Democrats in the mid-terms. Which would make for all kinds of Trouble for Trump and his agenda.

If the Strait of Hormuz opens without a toll booth and Iran is allowed to sell oil again, he is probably right, the price of oil will start an immediate fall. Does one believe Trump can make that happen and to what extent will the prices fall is the real question. Time will tell.

But for me, anything that leaves the current Iran administration in charge of Iran is a pretty solid loss for the United States. There is absolutely no way he can convince me we won if they survive.

Heck no. They charge around 5%(?). Take it to your bank and deposit it. I don't think most banks charge for depositing coins, but many will charge for simply cashing it in.

Quarters and dimes are exactly $20/lb. Nickels are about $4.50, and cents are worth not much. I separate the cents out and just figure I have about $18 for every pound of coins I have.

Actually in thinking about this further, it’s probably only $750-$800 in a 5Qt pail today as due to “Shrinkflation”, a 5Qt pail now only holds 3Qt…..

On February 28, 2026 when the US and Israeli military went in and Killed Iran's supreme leader Ayatoliah Ali Khamenei and most of his family was a huge mistake. All this did was unite the hardline regime and left no central power to negotiate with. They then doubled down and closed the strait of Hormuz and vowed to never give up. Somehow BB sucked us into that war and now it's turning out to be a disaster getting worse by the day. Looks like it will result in the loss of both houses come midterms. What a fricken mess!
