I wrote in "Words you don't want to hear" thread about a couple guys from Wisconsin that peppered the side of my pickup a couple weeks ago. Now the guy that took the blame while we were hunting says to my insurance, "It wasn't me, I was just trying to defuse the situation."

WTF. If you cant be white, STAY IN WISCONSIN! I'm frustrated beyond belief...

I hope all the info I have given the insurance companies will pay off, I guess I should have called the police and all that jazz. What the #@!!

Sorry if this makes anyone mad, just needed to vent!

There was a game checkpoint in central nd on 281 a couple weeks ago. Imagine this there was a bust with people over their duck limits and a sconi with 30 walleyes over his limit. Those checkpoints should be a daily thing.

The definition of integrity is, doing the right thing when no one is looking! People lack integrity these days.

Tell the guy to either own up, tell you who did it, or tell them you will contact the sheriff. Just because they're gone and the incident happened a little while back doesn't mean you still can't file a complaint. It's probably a misdemeanor of some kind or worse - possibly reckless endangerment - so you have at least a two year statute of limitations on them being charged. I wouldn't dick around with someone like this. I'd be playing a little hardball.

I will see what the insurance has to say. But I like your thinking. If nothing is resolved by the middle of next week I will call the Aberdeen sheriff.

I just received a red mark for sharing my latest checkpoint report with the group. someone evidently thinks i made that up. I was actually stopped at this checkpoint and talked to the warden.

I got my first red check point last week for joking about pooping on the lake next to a fish house. That is some seriously easy hurt feelers...hahaha

Looks like some of the serious posts only FBOrs have made their way over and are going to straighten this bunch up...

defuse the situation?? what kind of excuse is that? That wouldn't work in my book. Stay on him till he pays up.

I did! The Brown County Sheriff said he couldn't do anything about it even then. He said it was an accident and not on purpose so even if they were able to confirm it was this Dennis, he could just say it wasn't him and I would have to take it to small claims court.

Haha. I have it, and his pickups license plate number, and his phone number, and his insurance policy number ect, ect, ect.

It just always pissed me off when people would do that on FBO, so I'm not gonna do that.

If the guy didn't do, then why did he give you all that personal information? A truly innocent person wouldn't have even entertained giving you his first name! Just sayin......

The local sherriffs department will not seek justice in smalltown ND anymore. It is always the same thing said over and over. Take them to small claims court, even if they know damn well the party is guilty. The law is really on the side of the criminals.

I wish this was not true, but you are correct.
