Well he finally did it. Keystone XL is officially rejected by the usa even with the environmental study saying it would not have an impact on climate change. This is a very dangerous road for him to go down. If these clowns stay in office it will get even worse and our country will fail. America needs all he oil we can get.

If anyone watched the presser they got a treat if just how clueless that human is.

That being said congress could have forced the issue long ago. Lots of chicken shits on both sides. It's not the presidents job to make those decisions but congress handed its power over.

If the keystone people had a clue they should have just built the whole thing save the one foot that Obama's has a say over and built a railroad line in the shape of a loop. Then just offload the line onto the train take it over the line then off load and back into the pipe. Needless to say not the most cost effective way to do it but would have saved them billions by now and would have been fun to watch them give the finger to Washington!

I am a bit of a bunny fucking tree hugger. But, given the amount of oil pipe line criss-crossing this country, this is one of the dumbest damn shit shows of American flacidity I have ever seen.

I maintain that the only reason this one was such an issue was because it has a name.

About 8 % of what we produce, Just enough keep the pipe lubed up so the tar will flow. Meanwhile, Pumping another 800,000 Bbl to an already saturated world market.

North Dakota's next move will be plugging wells or building refineries because nobody wants this Bakken oil.

I would think that oil is going somewhere, but we would rather do business with enemies

Never understood why you would pump the best crude on earth with the worst.

So why doesn't someone build a pipeline that doesn't cross the Canadian boarder? That wouldn't require the President would it?

Plus it would be ALL ND oil.

Just like you laughed and called me crazy when things were going good I said the industry won't support high oil prices very long. I take it you are too young to remember the days when they filled the mud tanks with tooling and cut new rigs into pieces and hauled them to Porter Brothers.

We import more than half of the oil we consume in the US. For once, (Don't call me an obama lover) I agree with Obama on his decision against the Keystone XL, He just made up a different reason rather than to tell it the way it is, Maybe that was a good thing. We all read and hear about Bakken this and Bakken that but when you look at the big picture it's simple economics of supply and demand, We just get caught up in all the hype here in ND.

Yea, Nobody was a bold statement in today's times, But give it a few years or one more nasty train wreck whichever comes first. Those links should open your eyes to your surroundings. North Dakota best be building refineries and pipelibes of our own because nobody else is going to take care of us.

He just shit on the union minions that voted for him as most of the jobs building this pipeline would have been union labor. The Kenyon king has had his sites on the energy industry since he was anointed. He has put a strangle hold on the coal fire power plants with his new regulations and is trying to bankrupt one of the few union industry that is left. Maybe now the union members will pull their heads out do their asses and realize the liberal democrat party is not the same democrat party of the 60s and could care less about the common man. Wake up boys

At the end of the day he's just been stroking Mr. Buffet from day one on this. Silly to act like his reason now makes sense since when all this started things were much different. He's trying to tell us "I told you so" when this thing would paid for itself and been an asset by now both in jobs and safety, that's assuming we would have avoided disaster (slim chance of trouble, especially compared to all the BS the trains have shown us in recent years.) I could really care less about the Canadian stuff and think our own pipeline would be a good idea by itself but if they want to built it let them. From day one it has always been his buddy Warren and the strength of the party.

Must be a thousand miles if pipe just off the interstate next to Richardton there has to be some sort of pipeline going somewhere, they have been adding to it for a year or more. Big pipe, a couple feet or more in diameter.
