    They have a rental you can use. I've brought mine and used theirs. Personally prefer to take mine as I'm not worried about not having something I wanted. PM me if you want more details on it. We usually do an ice trip, and open water trips.

    We've fished little bear island quite a few times now. You can rent out the whole island. Troy and Sandi have an excellent place with all the amenities. They are by Morson Ontario and paved roads right to the boat landing. Fishing for bass, lake trout, crappie and walleye.

    Check out Little Bear Island on lake of the woods. You can rent out a private island, just across the border in Ontario. Depending on time of year you go you'll have bass, musky, walleye, lake trout, crappie and more. Been there quite a few times, and highly recommend it.

    I'd put a topper on the pick up for the dog and gear. Nothing worse then stinky dog and dead smell in the cab of a vehicle.

    A nice medium heavy rod with a decent reel is my go to bouncing set up. I prefer a fast or extra fast tip. Casting or spinning is a toss up. Personally prefer a casting setup.

    Most of the snow weve had has litlle moisture content. It will help some, but not alot.

    I only 1 the 3n1 on my carbon and have no issues with it reading. Have birds on the boat also without any issues with the new mega ducer either. Sounds like you need to lower it a bit and your problems will go away.
