    Baltimore bridge collapse

I'm just starting up a couple new to me customers and they already have 120,000+ sq ft of conc to pour in the Grand Forks surrounding area. They are two smaller companies that work with each other a lot, there is a reason they are investing in technology vs trying to hire more people because...

    Baltimore bridge collapse

Cripps I get minimum 80hrs every two weeks, average is probably 90hrs and busy season not uncommon to be 100-115hrs just depends. I have actually tried to cut back some so that I can spend time with my kids. I often think about trying to pick up some side money but think at what cost and what am...

    Baltimore bridge collapse

What do politicians have to do with where and what time these guys worked? Probably nothing. Those workers probably sought employment, got hired and were doing the job they were hired for. Do we know the job they were performing was even risky in the first place? When I was a surveyor there were...

    I'm in the market

Outside of when your firing pin doesn't set when you close the action. Bought a cheap O/U that I've sent in to see what is wrong, barely had a box of shells through it. As long as its taken care of under warranty not such a huge deal as long as it doesn't happen again I guess

    Minnesota fishing trip recommendations

Used to do a fair amount of bass fishing on Lizzy with my buddy, his family has a little cabin on the west side of the lake. Used to catch lots of rock bass drifting across the lake on a big flat just fan casting, mimic minnow with a spinner attached worked great for a long time.

^^^Absolutely^^^ I would like to see what would happen if we were to just stop overnight helping/meddling in other affairs around the country. Sure there are probably things we have screwed up but what about the good things we have done and probably never have/never will get any form of payback...

    Eating fish eggs

I've tried to feed some perch eggs to my dogs and the farm cats, they don't really eat them. My old lab used to love getting perch eggs while I cleaned fish.

    Eating fish eggs

Kickumup and I tried some perch eggs once and weren't that impressed, maybe we didn't cook them right. They were eatable when chased with some beer but then again I think many things can become appetizing with the right amount of liquid courage. I would try them again if I was with someone who...

    Snowpocalypse

I wonder how accurate harvest numbers are? I know when I did a little bit of it I never reported how many birds I shot, then again I didn't really shoot that many either.

Not to hijack but for Lakers through the ice for a guy with minimal gear, what would some good options be? Vexilar FLX-30 and tackle but no snowmobile, SxS, or reliable winter 4wheeler

    Snowpocalypse

I get that predicting weather is a challenge and I agree that it's best not to underestimate it but one would think that we have better technology than 20-30yrs ago, just saying I remember predictions being closer more often back then.

Maybe check into this place. I talked to the owner at the Fargo Sportsman Show and think that I might look into their winter cabin rental. Private access lake with lots of other options in the area, big crappie that can reach 14" he said, big gills if you find them, good bass, big pike. Rental...

    Minot Gun show

Haven't been to any kind of a gun show in years. Are they any kind of decent theses days or I suppose it depends on what you are into. I'm sure there aren't really any deals to be had with todays information age.

    Snowpocalypse

Maybe 3in here at best. Now I'm glad it wasn't 12" + but holy crap were the weather folks off on this. I feel like when I was a kid, graduated HS in 2005 so before then, that the weather forecasts were more accurate. 20yrs later one would assume the technology has gotten better

    Illegals can carry guns

I guess I'm not sure how Illinois is about gun laws overall or what their gun culture is, are they like a California, New York, etc. or are they like Texas? If they are strict about gun ownership and trying to take gun rights away from law abiding citizens then this shows that there are too many...

I agree we need the moisture but dang it why can't it just be 2 days of slow rain and 45 degrees out. I guess I will finally be using the new to me snowblower I picked up for my JD 4020 in November, have been saying its some of the best money I have spent in without using it.

Yeah I will make sure I do. For you west ND guys there is a chapter being started out there as well, I believe it is being called the rough riders. I have considered October but sometimes that is a very busy work time for me in the construction industry plus that is when I plan out my mule deer trip and hoping to make it 2 trips. I figure this will be a chance to get my feet wet and I can always expand from there.

Then you saw me running around or working the pluck a goose game. I'm glad I got this hunt at the price I did but it would have been nice to see some of the trips go a little higher, there were a lot that barely made it to what we owed for the ones that were not 100% donation. Thank you for...

    Spear fishing

Done it a few times thanks to KDM and Kickumup. One lesson I learned the hard way was throw/push that spear like you mean it and bury them in the mud, I lost my brain on a huge pike once when I was with KDM, hit it square in the head and you could hear the ting the spear made so basically I...

Have used my buddy's .17 to shoot a few P dogs when we go out mule deer hunting, there is a couple towns we drive by when out. It does the job for knocking them down.
