I hit the river last Friday. Water temps were still at 60, but got a few keeper eyes and even a bunch of smallmouth.

Sunset Lodge is hell and gone from Mobridge, it's straight W of Onida. 75Mi or so by road and it's gotta be 60+ Mi by water.

They're like every other fish, they follow their food. I've fished Lakers on the E side of LOW right after ice-out mid-late May and I don't think we ever fished over 20' deep.

They spawn in the fall, right? Maybe moved up shallow for that?
