Lowrance blue screen of death

1. I soft reset the unit
2. I made sure transducer plug was in back of unit. i couldnt budge it one way or another. To me it looked in as far as it goes
3. i picked the correct ducer for the unit in the menu

I will admit it i am not a lowrance guy - i have had a few though -- the unit is new came with the boat.

Any ideas before i go through the whole process of support.
