WTF is wrong with the ND legislature? We got rid of this in 2019 and now 6 years later we want to bring it back? I remember a congressman last time saying "People should be at church with their families". GTFO. I can still choose to go to church with my family if stores are open before noon. People can work somewhere else if their employer is open before noon on Sunday and they want to go to church. Let businesses decide what's best for them - government should have no stake in this.

I don't often shop before noon on Sunday, but it's the principle behind this one that pisses me off. This is a perfect example of what's wrong with our legislature.

I get the whole sabbath and a day of rest deal but most churches offer a Saturday night service as well as Sunday’s. The law seems antiquated and needs to stay gone for good. If they want to make a law that would leave this shit box behind but also protect people’s rights to the sabbath then pass a law that protects people from termination or reprimand due to religious reasons for Sunday’s. Pretty simple

Let people and families decide how to run their own lives, not just businesses. I am surprised this got defeated by such a large margin.

Brought to you by the same people who flood the eating establishments after church, causing a lot of people to work on Sunday. A crowd notorious for tipping poorly.

"Republicans" - that's rich.

The R is just what is necessary to get voted into ND offices in some areas. Lots of Rs are RINOs in ND. LOTS.

Or maybe they are Rs? And it's simply the case that the R doesn't stand for fiscal conservatism anymore. Sure doesn't in ND anyway.

I had a plumber for some reason at my home on a Sunday. Guess what he didn't have the right fitting, so he sat at our kitchen table for 3 hours waiting for Ace hardware to open. Was pretty cool when he sent the bill for the coffee time with mrs johnr...
