Why do insurance companies use credit scores as a factor in determining rates ? How does one’s credit score forcast their driving ability ?

Responsible..higher score means you are a more responsible person with your finances and therefore should be a more responsible person in general including how you drive

I worked with a guy that donated a kidney to his wife. He told us that the American Kidney Fondation was giving him $10,000. Then the fire dept had a spaghetti feed to raise money for lost wages. Even though work paid him for his recovery. Two weeks after the spaghetti feed he had a brand new Ford Superduty.

Hate shit like this,setup two different benifits for a couple local guyz I didnt even know other than a nod or a wave in passing,friends claimed good guyz ended up with cancer (so the story goes) big benifit small town peeps put together money raising benifit food,silent auction,we raised $1000's for a good cause weeks later guyz I thought they would be laid up, but oh no bellied up at the bar spending cash like a drunkin sailor,pissed me off but let it slide could've been a good day for em....

Very tacky even if a good day. I couldnt imagine people giving me money from the goodness of their heart and then belly up to a bar spending like crazy..sure have a beer or two but spending like that nope..very very tacky.

The higher your score the better you handle your affairs, including driving. Surprisingly Doctors as a whole have lower than average credit scores.

Have we all not seen these go fund me deals ,or fund raisers for all kinds of health, care wrecks accidents. Just drives me nuts, I don't want any help from no one it is my life I live it I am responsible for all of it. Sorry if this bothers some on here, I was not raised that way.

probably because they dont take loans out, I knew a commercial fisherman that credit score sucked, couldn't get a credit card. he had to take a loan out and pay it off a few times to get a decent credit score.
