Why do Canadian honkers stand on the GD shoulder of the highway after they've paired up? There are a few places near West Fargo where I hold my breath as I navigate my way between them.....
Trust me you don’t want to take one in the grill

Like back in the younger days when a guy would drive across the river to get another hour of drinking in.
Been there done that. With the state line where I live we and many others would close down a ND bar then go to SD in MT time zone for another 2 hours till last call.

Yes - that's what I'm afraid of! Had a young 20's something guy at work who hit one on his way home - stuck in the grill. Pretty inept dude to be honest when it came to common sense. Showed up the next morning, goose still alive but stuck in the grill, and had to ask our Maintenance team to help him remove it. One of the funniest moments in my 20 year career! I did feel bad for the goose to be stuck alive overnight.....

That area as well as most of the 83 corridor area towards the front end of the migration can be feast or famine. Here one day gone the next. Hit them with the right weather and when they are stalled it can be a really Rossi 🙊 oops I mean really good 😉 Hit them on the wrong day and it’s bird watching at best.

Drove a pretty good portion of central Nodak over the weekend - huge trains migrating north most of Friday afternoon. Based on what i saw and the birds being killed by the guys I know down south the migration is well into the back half. The number of ducks I saw over the weekend was impressive as well!

I was surprised to hear snow geese fly over tonight , If you look at the map I am in north central ND in the white spot almost everything north of here is snow and what isn't will most likely will get more snow before spring. Makes me wonder if they know more about the weather than we do .

They are all heading south this morning, I think they found out it's still winter just a few miles north of the border

What are the hunter #’s like? I quit right as the crap show was popular. Lots of jumpers but plenty decoying. Seems less popular now?

Curious to see what this system does to them. Sounds like a good bulk are still in the area where the biggest snow totals are to hit with not a lot of open water north yet…. Could see a shift west or they’ll ride it out is my guess. Possible some push back into sd but if they get snow too Im guessing a lot will ride it out.
