Have you tried a heavy wire worm hook (Owner) with no weight? Slower/more horizontal sink rate. You may get strikes on the fall due to the current and inherit action. I'd let it sink on a slack line...

I just put it 2 to 6 feet under a slip bobber and twitch it as it drifts by

Any salmon being caught yet I remember 10 years ago I did very well pulling spinners in the race this time of year
Seen a picture of an 18.5 pounder a little over a week ago from the shutts at night using 3-ways with a jerk bait.

Does anyone know how the ramp at the tailrace is as far as getting in and out during the day. It's been a while and back then I fish out of a 16 footer.

Ramp is fine during the day...just had my 1850 reata in last weekend
