Wifie got a new Toyota 4 Runner in Fargone. She takes it there for oil changes and tire rotate.
Anyway the guy comes out and said for 70 bucks plus or minus we can clean your injectors. She said we put sea foam every 3rd or 4th tank of gas.
He said "oh you are probably okay then.

So my question is: What do the car dealerships use as injector cleaner?

Snake oil...use PCA cleaners..can be bought off the shelf. Gumout tune up has or used to have it in the can. They charge you a ton for the service
BG products
Red line
Liqi moly
Sea foam
Chevron techron..etc

Not sold on Sea Foam conditioners anymore. Brother (small engine mechanic) did a little test in quart jar. The Sea Foam and gas "completely" seperated. They sure sell a shitload of it though.
Have used Lucas in the past. Bad thing is , you have no idea if its doing anything unless you actually have an injector plug up. Then you know it didn't do shit.

She should have asked them how they clean them and how long it would take.

In other words, a 70 $ up sell to pour an 8$ can of liguid into the gas tank.

I've been using seafoam for many years. Have had phenomenal luck with it.

This is fuel stabalizer but has sea foam in it. I would not use it for storage at all. I think it cleans fairly well though. My preference is gumout tune up for injector cleaner.

I have used this product. Great success on an old one cylinder golf cart that barely ran.

I run premium gas 91% ,octane with NO ethanol in all my small engines and have never had a problem with them starting. Even after setting for a year. And about every 5 or 6 tank on my pickups I put in premium fuel. Does it help them, I don't know put it gives me piece of mind.

No additives are ever needed...can just help even with non ethanol fuel. Many you tube videos showing injectors after 100k and after cleaning them.. makes a difference.

Not needed Zog,best to hit gas stations with "top tier 3" 87% octane fuel a splash of injector guard once or twice/yr costs $10 money grab by car dealerships. Imagine that.

Sea Foam or the Lucas version have never caused me troubles, add a touch to chainsaw gas and it sure does something and a good does in my riding mower seems to help sometimes. Lucas also has an injector cleaner that has a little bit of an oily feel to it that I put in my old tractors (gas & diesel), gas vehicles and diesel pickup from time to time and it doesn't seem to hurt anything.
Basically the major injector cleaning they tried to sell your wife is only really needed if the engine is not running correctly. If you are dealing with Corwin in Fargo that would be the last place in town I would trust with my vehicle

This shit pisses me off: After work (abbreviated); I tore up the power steering pump (pissed) trying to get up the "hill": It had two "dead" spots after this incident. I went to Iraq.

While there; I had a Flowmaster exhaust installed, three trips to the "shop" and fucking THREE emails telling me about "nothing" wrong. I felt like gd "Alice In Wonderland": Her dad came up, drove the truck and got the gd shit fixed...

Point being: You have a good woman if you can take her car to work, go to the Middle East and/or make the jackasses take her seriously. This is a real deal problem IME:

The threat is real:
