looks good! I need to do some research and build an electric fence soon I think... Little bigger than yours tho....
For coons or deer?

I have LOTs of 6-foot, 1/2" diameter fiberglass poles like in this video BTW. Dirt cheap. (free)

I use the spring/coily clips he showed - bought them at Fleetfarm. If the top of your post gets rounded off, you'll never get the coily clips on. I have not tried the video guy's recommended clips.

The area I want to fence is about 8 acres, AI says I should put in a 7 strand high tensile wire fence using 8ft T posts and 8" treated end posts. Primarily for deer I guess, but id like to keep everything out that would mess with my orchard.

My electric fencer is good for 26 miles and I only use 1250 ft of wire. When the coons get into it you can hear them scream for miles and once is good enough, ask my wife. LB
I have about the same setup , a neighbor stopped by and we were visiting and he asked what that buzzing was , I couldn't hear it but a pumpkin had grown under the bottom wire and fencer was burning into the pumpkin. I also have a grandson who was 5 at the time and doesn't feel pain, he kept telling me he touched the fence and was going to do it again. We joke around a lot so I thought he was pulling my leg but when they were getting ready to leave he was by the fence waiting and yelled for me to watch and he grabbed on and didn't even flinch. I thought he had unplugged it until the oldest went over and grabbed it , boy did he scream when he got lit up. It's true, some kids don't feel pain.

if he truely doesnt feel pain, thats a serious problem, youll want to have him checked by a doctor. People who cannot feel pain tend to not live very long, for obvious reasons. You might wanna test him with some pins, see if he reacts when a pin or needle is inserted in a fingertip or something, should be quite sensitive in that area.

Yea, I'm not so sure if he actually doesn't feel pain or if he just endures it. It's something in the genes because he has an older cousin from my other boy who is the same way. Something for me and the boys to talk about this weekend. The older one is almost a teenager and they don't let him play team sports or anything aggressive because of it.

I really is just in your head... when it comes down to it. pain sensitivity varies significantly between people, and between the sexes. Some people think women have higher pain tolerance, but I dont think it comes out that way in actual studies.

More than likely not grounded.
