    First of all you'd have a bunch of startup costs not to mention all the licensing and testing to get certified. You'd have to sell a lot of meat before breaking even I'd imagine.

    For my quarter I paid the rancher directly for the hanging weight based on current markets and paid the locker plant for the processing.

    That would be fun but it'll never happen. In order to move to FBS you have to get invited by a current FBS conference. None of the northern FCS schools like the Dakota's or Montana's bring enough viewership numbers to entice an invite at the moment. Is what it is and why we are stuck at the FCS...

    All the big dogs of FCS have moved to FBS. It's beyond time to move but you need a conference invite to do so. Ideally you'd want the Dakota's and Montana's to get together to form a northern FBS conference at some point. P4 won't allow it at the moment.

    GNF probably stuck them in there with their stockings from the Valley City hatchery before they "discovered" them in their rearing ponds. My guess is every body of water east of the mighty mo has them by now, they just haven't been "discovered" yet.

    The home and farm buildings are tax exempt on ag land only. This is something I do not agree with though, as these should be under the same tax as any other residence. I live on a farmstead but do not farm, the neighbor farms, has a brand new house, a couple nice new shops and his property tax...
