This is what happens when you drink and drive .............. a combine

I wonder if he was also charged with driving without a seatbelt? The combine I operate, like all made in the past 20+years, has them but I'm pretty sure it's never been used. Kind of amazing that there were no apparent injuries.

This is what happens when you drink and drive .............. a combine

I can see it happening, especially if drunk. Combines steer with the back tires, not nearly as stable as steering with the front like we are all used to. Kind of like running in reverse at high speed. As long as no one, other than a high priced combine, got seriously hurt it does bring me a...

    remember when...

I remember 29/9 but beer for me was 1.50/6 pack. Unless you wanted to drink Buckhorn, that was about 90 cents.

    Homeowners insurance recommendations

No complaints from Auto-Owners as well as my agent. Cost to rebuild. Talk to a contractor. I'm pretty sure you will be surprised at what it can cost. I would say $100/sq. ft. is minimum so 3000 sp ft is $300,000. And minimum is bare bones in my opinion. Also agree with the umbrella policies...

What’s going on at Ft Peck?

Haven't been to Ft.Peck but did visit with a rancher west of Billings about their roads. Calling them gravel was a bit over an overstatement. He told me that gravel was so expensive because of the trucking. The nearest pit from him was over 50 miles away. It was just something they dealt with...

    Waterfowl season 2020

Not a migration expert but have hunted in Canada many times. Have never noticed much pressure where I have hunted. Granted I don't hunt in areas that are often written about or where TV shows are filed. Have always had good success with less hunters even with less birds. So I'm not sure...

    School Reopening

That is all true. Know some teachers in large schools. They never seem to have a shortage of subs. Lot of younger graduates subbing almost daily waiting for an opening on the staff hoping to get hired full-time. every school, or business for that matter, has issues that need to be dealt with...

    School Reopening

I did it many times while I was an administrator. Sometimes I didn't have a sub so I took over the class short term. Not saying I was greatly proficient in all subject areas but could hand out the work provided by the teacher and watch the class. I now sub occasionally, or did last year, and...

    Grinding

I agree with the cold being important. I also use a food-grade silicone spray on my grinding parts. Anything the help prevent sticking is a benefit.

    mini splits...

Little confused by your questions. My thoughts are "Why wouldn't you insulate, heat and have AC if it's going to be finished?" Assuming you have AC in the rest of the house. Usually easier to do that while finishing the rest of the space. Is the space going to be bedroom type area, rec room...

    Newish Guy

I have but it was many years ago on a fishing trip in Canada, Bit a jig with leech. Never weighed but it was at least in the 10-15# range. good battle, especially when the carp swam to one side of a small island and I was on the other side. had to move the boat to finally land the fish.

    Boat dealers

I'm well past worrying about any warranty work with the age of my boat so don't have any advice along that line but I do know that some employers are right now struggling to find help. When unemployment pays what they are currently paying why go to work when you can sit back, collect your check...

3 friends slain while preparing to fish at Florida lake

Hope that trooper was in ND. Handguns in Canada are a no-no regardless of any CC permit.I have a Canadian firearms permit that allows me to bring long guns and purchase guns and ammo in Canada but bringing in a handgun is strictly not allowed. I've been told if going to Canada for a shooting...

    Yellowstone update

Have to admit I wasn't paying much attention at the beginning and never realized the young lady getting the abortion was Beth. Need to catch up a little more I guess. Do enjoy the show and I do realize that it's made for TV and not all that realistic. Mention was made that IHS doesn't sterile...

    Boat license decals

I would assume that if you carry the registration card on your vessel you would have a very good case if you ended up in court. Haven't seen my boat for awhile as I leant it out but will check when I get it back. Haven't had a problem on my pontoon. That doest' excuse poor communication from the...

    Spray on bedliner

Every bedliner that sprays on seems pretty rough to prevent things from sliding around in the box. Wouldn't this severely reduce the speed of your boat?

    Northern fillets

I always soak my northern's in salt water and then rinse before storing. By soak, I mean at least 4 hours or overnight. Firms them up, whitens them and just improves the texture. I've done this with northerns caught in mid summer and they eat fine. If you know how to get the bones out of...

    Need venting underneath a shed?

You shouldn't necessarily need venting, but venting and keeping moisture to the minimum is never a bad idea. the purpose of venting is to allow moisture to escape.
