    Devils lake fishing tournament

They actually caught some pretty good fish. There have been years where there was barely a fish caught. Good weather and fish caught, that's a good tournament especially with all the good prizes.

Fish house TV’s.....connecting to HULU, Netflix, etc. via IPhone

Most of these comments could just as well are written in Latin. Mostly the only reason I bring my phone fishing is to use the GPS to get off the lake if a storm moves in.

    New 2020

Been shooting my trusty .270 for 56+ years so thinking maybe I should try out one of those fancy 6.5 Creeds. Then read the ballistics and didn't see much difference. That and I don't see so well at 1000+ yards. ;:;banghead Will stick with perhaps a new set of golf clubs which generally doesn't...

    Fort Berthold Big horns.

Well, it depends on who's money. If the MHA is funding the herd I have no problem. They certainly have the money and if they want to start a hunting operation it's their choice. Now if it's G&F money that's a different story unless the tags are available fo all, with no preferences. As I...

    Onside kick option pro bowl

How is this fair to those players who are on a roster for the sole purpose of being a Kick-Returner? They will be out of a job and no longer be able to provide for their family. That and teams may be able to get along with only one kicker. I'm mostly thinking of stupid shit because I'm watching...

    Smoked Brisket "AKA Frisco Brisket"

Have eaten quite a bit of brisket in the past at restaurants. Made my own last summer and 3 times since, find what I make myself so much more flavorful and agree with the statement above. Good brisket is about the best meat you can eat. Can't say it's better than a perfectly cooked ribeye but...

    Furniture Repair Bismarck

Have you tried cleaning the tracks? Without knowing your situation and what kind of tracks you're dealing with I would recommend not using oil. Oil attracts dust, use a non-oil lube would be my recommendation. Silicone comes to mind or graphite. Might be worth try.

    Camping on state land

WTH, completely opposite from my experience. This was state land surrounded by federal grasslands. Didn't even check before we set up camp but warden said nothing one I'd say we must have sat and visited for 15-20 minutes about a variety of outdoor subjects. Just a very friendly conversation...

    Camping on state land

I have camped on state land and while camped I visited with a game warden. He said nothing about where I was camped. This was during the deer gun season. Not a for sure answer as at the time I didn't think there was anything wrong with where I camped. Evidently, neither did the warden. He...

Don't know what you call a bunch of cats but isn't a bunch of lions called a "pride"?

    The Official Wentz Wagon Thread

definitely helmet to helmet. He the defender lowered his head and led with the crown. Not sure it was intent to cause a concussion but definitely intent to let Wentz know he was getting hit. From the replay I was surprised that it actually caused an injury because at the time it didn't look as...

    monster lion~

Why the guesstimate? It shouldn't be that hard to find a scale to weigh the lion. Regardless, it's a big cat.

    NFL News (Vikings)

Really got tired of listening to commentators talking about Rudolph's "separation" on the last TD. Come on guys, you see the same action on just about every pass. It's always been OK for a receiver to use his hands but the defenders need to keep "hands off." It takes a lot more of a push than...

    Attention grabbing headlines

hmmmm, kind of makes me wonder why the man and his goat were so tired. Didn't say if either one was having a cigarette while relaxing.

    New Years Resolution

I'm pretty sure that most are like me with to much shit. Mine comes from (pick it up, think some day I might use this so I put it back on the shelf or floor, do it again a year later) and pretty soon we have too much shit.

    Mexican Fishing License??

Don't have any idea of the rules. Have been to Mexico but never fished. Was told by a guy who used to hunt in Mexico when he lived along the Rio Grande that if you were stopped by a Mexican game warden and issued a ticket that it was usually cheaper to just pay him the fine rather than go to...

    Vacuum sealer recommendations

I also use a FoodSaver, on my 2nd and they have worked well for several years and then time for a new one. The one I use is in the $220-$300 rang and I use rolls and make my own size bag. I'm pretty sure they make better vacuum sealers but I have never wanted to spend that much or a bigger deal...

    Poop socks and underwear

Those of us who ice-fish I'm pretty sure we've all experienced the need to take care of business while on the ice. Truth is that is biodegradable and will be absorbed into the water. Then we get to drink that water, or at least some if it may enter our mouth if we swim in that lake. I have a...

    Need Handgun advice

Same experience with a Glock 17 in 9mm. Always thought I was a decent shooter. First time I shot the Glock, it feels comfortable and fits my hand nicely, I shot a target that was about 18"X15" at 50ft. LOL. Shot 15 shots and went to check my grouping. Pretty good, again LOL, I found that I hit...

    Ariens snow blower??

Bought a Husqvarna about 3years ago. After one year the drive cable broke and was fixed under warranty, no problems with getting the warranty to cover. Spent close to $1000 and it runs good with lots of power. Now I get to blow snow in the winter and about the time I finish a guy with a skid...
