    Ham in Sausage?

Never tried ham but have used bacon ends and pieces. Must not have used enough bacon as I found very little difference in the taste. Probably because sausage seasoning is pretty powerful and a person uses quite a bit of the seasoning.

    impeachment? really?

What makers you think the Dems have any interest in this information? Will be interesting if any of this ever gets investigated. There is no help from most of the news agencies. Remember Watergate? There were actually a couple news reporters that sensed something was amiss and kept digging...

    Man Card

Grew up on a farm. Yes I know how to drive a stick shift. Even farm vehicles are getting away from manual shifting. Hydrostatic drive is pretty common on tractors and combines, as are automatics in big trucks. Driving a stick shift is becoming a lost art. How many remember the fun of driving a...

    Favorite meals.

I find that I can still buy quality meat. I just don't shop for steaks or burgers in Big Box stores. Have a local grocer who's specialty is his small butcher ship. All those stores have a choice of the quality of boxed beef they buy and as a result the consumer can taste the difference. My...

    Heart Shot Deer

Wasn't there so have no idea what happened. In my experience I've never seen a heart-shot deer go very far (less than 100 yds) and the blood trail was clear, borderline gushing out. Good chance that deer isn't as dead as you think.

    Old Guns

I don''t collect guns but do still use my dad's "deer rifle" , and his shotgun. Rifle is a .270, a modern rifle by today's standards and his Browning Auto-5 (Belgian). Did have the rifle refinished, older Remington so not really a collector but still shoots accurately and the Browning is smooth...

    FFS really

I'm assuming the doctors are Muslim and it's again their religion to eat pork. As long as they don't sue and require that no pork cancer be cooked on that grill it wouldn't bother me. It's their choice. But to sue Burger King for cooking meat on their grills. WTH did they think was going to...

    blind grass

One of the big reasons I like artificial grass is that with today's combines, especially rotors, they chew the straw so fine it's difficult to find anything left in the field to use as blind material. Talking small grains here, not corn. Go in a bean or pea field and there is very little left...

    Need a tonneau cover

Have had several Access covers and no problems with any. Usually trade every 4-5 years and did take one from my pickup to the new one and by the end of the second pickup the velcro didn't hold as well. Decided after that "Why buy a new pickup and put a used cover on it." Do recommend the dust...

    Pop-Up Camper Propane Troubleshooting

No where close to a propane expert but every time I've had propane trouble with 20# tanks the guy who fills them turns them upside down and drops them on the concrete. His theory is that the float in the tank can freeze. And he's been correct every time I've had trouble. Considering the weather...

    Is this legal

I'm assuming the 'buffer strip' they were referring to is the strip of land between the two different fields/crops. It didn't appear to me they did anything illegal as I also thought the buy they talked to on the 4-wheeler was the owner but had the warning not to go on the other guy's property...

    Trimming out venison for sausage

Agree that as much tendon as possible needs to go. If for no other reason than tendon's eventually wrap-un in my 1.5hp grinder. That then leads to pushing mush through the blades. Someone mentioned dicing. why dice? I find longer strips of meat that will fit though the feed of the grinder is...

    Corner hopping

Mostly true. First, section lines are just that, quarter lines are not the same as section lines. Section lines run every mile as opposed to quarter lines which are every 1/2 mile. Section lines overlap some 1/4 lines but not all. I'm sure we all realize that section lines run every mole and...

    Ice reports?

Was running a combine this past week and small pockets of water that was no more than 6-8 inches deep had ice thickness of 2-3 inches. Hardly enough to walk on when the water will be deeper. No fish is worth your life. Some like to be the first on the ice. I have no interest in being the first...

    On Star

Have used OnStar on my last 3 pickups. Like it and argue with my wife every time I get billed. She thinks it's a cost that isn't necessary and I like it. Gives us something to discuss every time I get billed. In the winter I really like the phone starter as it is long distance instead of being...

    New ND State Record

So moose aren't grass eaters? Doesn't seem that way as most of the moose on the prairie that I see during the summer are standing in soybeans, sunflowers, or corn. They will also stand in water eating the tender plants growing up from the bottom. Yes, they will also shrubs but they are also...

    New ND State Record

Have no idea, I did see a picture of a really nice bull and heard from some who were there that it might be a new state record. Have no idea how to score a moose other than a quick look at the score sheet. This bull was 50+ in width but I think the real score comes in tine length and this bull...

    cabelas wooltimate

According to my wife, she washes mine in cold water, gentle cycle. Dries in the dryer for 10 minutes and then hangs to finish drying. Has worked for many years with no ill effects.

    Jury Awards Victims in Crash

Good question. Insurance? Not saying the families don't deserve the amount but I've always wondered in cases like this, how often is the amount ever paid and by whom. Next question, do the lawyers get paid before the families?

    Do soybeans kill birds?

So, did the geese die from the soybeans or because around the Thanksgiving time they overate? The esophagus impacted with soybeans could have caused suffocation. I have been told by a biologist that waterfowl get very little nutrition from soybeans because of the way they digest the bean. Not...
