    How Long Before New Dog?

Expectations may be something tough to deal with also. Had the perfect dog and knew would almost be impossible to duplicate. I wish I would have replaced my black lab a couple yrs after. Haven't yet, and its no fun hunting without anymore.

    Braided line

Reef runners can be bearcats to tune but can be pretty deadly. Used them a lot up at Tobin.

    Hub Shelters- Must have/need items?

Not sure, mine does too. Maybe won't slip out and fall down the ice hole

    Braided line

Fan of Spiderwire translucent for pitching mimics. Liked the Suffix but seems like a lot of wind knots compared to the Spider

    Who got their head inspected?

I did take mine in for the simple fact that it was on a relatives land that does have a few deer around. Said he had one that was a little off but thought it may have just been wounded. Haven't heard back yet. The one I shot looked absolutely healthy.

    Propane heater

Industrial 3 blade ceiling fan from Menards, makes a world of difference forcing heat down. They have a 5 speed dial and turned on 1 they move a ton of air. Great for summertime also.

    Propane heater

I think this would work great in a hub, but otherwise they are a bit large.

    Propane heater

He's just looking for a portable type to toss in the garage to take out the chill, not an actual garage heater. Does not want Nipco.

    2023 ND Deer Rifle Season

I was surprised at the low numbers of predators we saw also. Only 1 fox, 3 yotes this yr., where as the previous yrs we shot 3 or 4 per yr. Rooster count was only 6, bagging 1 of them. Grouse numbers are good and partridge numbers are on the rebound.

    2023 ND Deer Rifle Season

@Allen , I think we kinda know which way is going to pencil out for more money , and its a sad thing to see. Habitat is about nonexistent for wildlife, could definitely need some help.

    Making ice

Pipestem was froze over. Many open spots today and warmer temps will open more with the wind. Not safe at all !

    2023 ND Deer Rifle Season

@NDSportsman , I'm afraid those days are gone. If a program like CRP was to ever ( very unlikely) come back again, it will be in the forum of Pay To Hunt. Just like original, land was not suppose to be allowed to be posted that was put in the program. That sure didn't last very long. I helped...

    2023 ND Deer Rifle Season

The 440 isn't in play when enrolled around farmstead. Everyone I have seen that close have signs No Shooting Towards Buildings. Mild yrs like this so far, ranchers are going to keep cattle out where there is food so don't have to feed yet. Yes we as hunters get screwed on that part but it isn't...
