    Cornish Game Hens

So, if these little buggers say "Contains less than 4% retained water," were they brined? Think I might just rub, stuff with some herbs, and smoke. Might spatchcock 3 and hang three, giving the hangers about twice the time. Also, my wife isn't appreciative of the fact I keep calling them...

    Cornish Game Hens

Thanks for the input. Our air fryer is the toaster oven type, so not really enough headroom to get them in there. I'll check and see if they're brined, and maybe just cram some herbs under the skin and give them some smoke. Might throw them in the deep fryer when done smoking if I'm not happy...

    Cornish Game Hens

Anyone got a great recipe for these little chickens? Had a 6-pack at Sam's for $16.00, so had to buy them. Thinking I'll brine and smoke, but wondering if anyone had something better...

    Deal Alert!

You'll probably get shredded for that, but still funny. I'm still hanging on to a slim Trump hope, but there's no such thing as "too soon."

    Blackstone question

Thanks for the input. I'll maybe look into getting one. Problem is, I know me. I tend to buy covers and put them on once or twice. Eventually, I forget to go back and do it when grill/smoker cools down. Cover blows off deck, gets rained on, buried in leaves, forgotten... maybe I'd be better...

    Blackstone question

I've seen a lot of Blackstone commentary on here, but not sure if this has been addressed. As long as the griddle is greased well, does it need more than the metal cover to sit on my deck all winter? Seems to me like it would be fine sitting out there with my grill and smoker, but my wife...

    17 hmr ?

Ahab hit the nail on the head -- watching things explode in your scope... My favorite vermin rifle for just that reason. .223, .204, 22-250, etc have a little too much "bounce" to see the fruits of your labor sometimes. I like the 17 WSM for the same reason, but inexpensive rifle options are...

    17 hmr ?

You can have a nice shooter for under $300. Heavy barreled Savage can be had for $260 any day of the week at Fleet Farm, and you don't really need pricy optics when you're talking about 100-150 yds. I skipped 22s for my boys and went with the standard barrel Savage for $200 a pop.

New run on guns and ammo?

Do you warm the tortillas up a bit so they don't break when folding?

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in SW ND

I googled it. Video does exist, but they shoot it from a bench. Still funny, but not the standing shot I pictured in my head.

Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in SW ND

I just want to see the video of kurtr's post...the little fella in the back is gonna fly, and I think the bipod might drag the little fella in the front along. I feel like I'd watch it on a loop 30 times in a row.

New take on summer sausage sandwiches

I can't stand bread sandwiches. Buns if packing a lunch, toast for hot sandwich at home. Bread takes me back to soggy PB&J sandwiches in elementary school.

Things an adult should know how to do without Youtube

I second KDM on how to cook. Anything you can get at a restaurant, you can make at home. And, it will be better, because you give a shit. Nothing pisses me off more than paying $15+ for something, and it's garbage because they don't care.. I've boycotted every restaurant in my town for life...

Things an adult should know how to do without Youtube

As far as number 10 goes in OP, if I can find a place that says "free battery installation," I'm taking them up on it. Bought my kids a couple of Dodge Avengers. If that isn't a reminder that engineers are sometimes assholes, I don't know what is. You have to take off the left front tire and...

    Steak Time!

I was thinking the same thing. They've just started popping up at my local grocery, and I buy them every time I see them. Was a little leery of them at first, but is a damn good steak. I thought you were talking about the flat iron steaks until I looked again. Nothing wrong with a tri-tip...

    Hometown history

I saw where they were paying a $2 bounty on "wolves" in Dickey County back in 19xx - forget the year. Paid out like 147 bounties. Can't believe there were that many wolves around then. Must've been coyotes. - - - Updated - - - 1902, 140 "wolves" in Dickey County.

Cool site. Didn't find tons, but did read about my grandparents wedding in 1935. Interesting.
