    Fly fishing tailrace

With no deer tag and what looks to be another subpar pheasant season, i may have to give this a try a few times this fall. I have gotten back into fly fishing in the past few years after about a 15 year hiatus. I've mostly been heading west for trout with 4-5wt rods, but i do have a couple old...

    Robinhood App

Davey, You can always throw in a little fun money and play with it, that's what it seems like a lot of these guys are doing. Putting in $100-$1000 "that you are willing to lose" and throwing it at bunch of speculative stuff can keep it fun and exciting without a ton of risk. Definitely need...

    Muzzleloader Points

Lets be honest, a muzzy tag is just a chance at a statewide rifle tag these days. If people truly want to use a muzzy, you could every year to fill your normal rifle tag, or extra doe tags. You don't "need" a muzzy tag, its just basically a bonus tag at this point.

    Muzzleloader Points

Even with 10+ points, the odds last year were about 25%. It’s only going to get worse because way more people apply for it now. Of course if you just want to hunt with a muzzy you can get a doe pretty easy.

    Walk behind mowers

Buy once, cry once. Spend for an upper end Honda and your good for 20 years minimum. Change oil every year, no ethanol gas, run it out of gas for winter storage, the end. Less than $50 per year ownership. I watch neighbors struggle with shitty lawnmowers they purchase every 5 years. Guarantee...

    Walk behind mowers

I’ve never had a Honda fail. Still have all three we have ever bought going at various houses/lake etc. One is over 30 years old, another is probably about 20, and the other about 5. Have always bought the higher end ones with the hydrostatic drive, never a major issue with any of them.

Uncut grass and not spraying weeds

Cost of gas...seriously? Weed killer...go buy a gallon of 24d and a hand sprayer, your good for the next decade. Mower...yep they can take some maintenance, just like your sparkly boat. Basically, spending a little on yard maintenance and house upkeep is part of home ownership, if your not...

    Work from office or home?

This is this first time I’ve ever worked from home and I certainly have enjoyed it. Like most things in life, there are pros and cons to both though. I think I’m more productive when just working on something myself, but if it comes to an issue that needs multiple people to solve and work on...

    No More Evinrude

All the “good deals” on used boats I see tend to always have an E-Tec on the back. And if they have a Yamaha or Suzuki they tend to command a premium. I suppose those E-Tec deals will be even better now. I should note that I do have a 30 year old evenrude on my riverboat and that thing has been...

Uncut grass and not spraying weeds

It takes basically zero money to mow a yard. In every case I’ve lived near where someone didn’t take care of their yard it was just sheer laziness and lack of give a damn for other people’s property values.

Uncut grass and not spraying weeds

In my first house i had a rental property next to me. There was about a year where the guy was remodeling it and wasn't taking care of shit. Once the lawn hit about 12" and full of weeds and became a mosquito breading ground to the point i couldn't even walk into my backyard, I called the city...

    Need a new cooler

Here's another test, the Orion seems to consistently rate high, but you pay for them. I picked up two of the Cabelas 60qt for $199 a couple years ago, when they were discounting some of their limited colors. They are noticeably more substantial than the Yeti's, but if space is really a premium...

    Vinyl Taco VS Fargo Forum

I’d be willing to bet the only reason these employees are pissed is because they are being asked to go back to work at all. Now they can’t continue to collect more money in unemployment than they were making while working.

    Long Sleeve Fishing Shirts

I will add that although the Simms Solarflex hoodys are what i wear the most. I do have two ultra light weight Simms button ups that on the absolute hottest, most humid days do keep you cooler than the solarflex type material. At a certain point the solarflax stuff will start to stick to you if...

    Bending over

You don’t even have to buy it, they are trying to give it away. In the meantime a worker forced shutdown in midwinter sure would be interesting to see.🥶
