    Camping - Water?

    I use the city water hookup, keep the pump off and tank dry. I plan on getting one of those water pressure regulators that go between the spicket and your hose, I see a lot of people using those in the campgrounds. EDIT: Apparently they are inline water filters.

    Fished out of Fox Island yesterday, they put the dock in that afternoon. We spotted ~10 dead cows between the ramp and 2 miles south.

    Hub Shelters- Must have/need items?

    If you are in a pinch and don't have the drill adapter for the ice anchors, pound a screwdriver or something of the like into the ice with a hammer. The anchors thread into the hole really easy by hand. Scheels was out of the adapters last time I looked.

    Co-workers claiming her husband is Ice fishing on Audubon, is it walk on up there?

    7" on Audubon where we fished Friday. There are plenty of four wheelers out and about. After the weather Saturday though ice conditions may have worsened. Nov 21 there was 3-4 inches.

    Kdrill Size?

    Just in case anyone was wondering, the 8" Slush Inhaler barely fits into the original 8" (7.5) K-Drill hole. The snug fit is actually pretty nice since it seems to allow for even more of the slush to be gathered.

    Ridgid Octane Drill for Kdrill

    Not to hijack the thread.... But does anyone run into issues drilling through thicker ice when getting to the bottom of it? I run a 8" K-Drill with a Milwaukee Fuel. On 20+ inches of ice it rips through the first 18 or so inches and the last two seem to take forever. I run it back up and down to...

    Lake contour maps.

    Another vote for the ArcGIS Explorer app. Free and you can download whatever maps you want to use. Seems to work well for me and even has most of the small lakes in my area.

    Vexilar FL-18 vs FL > 18 ???

    My FL-8SE does everything that I need it to. If I were to upgrade it would be all the way to the Panoptix/LiveScope. Also, braided line with mono leader is the way to do it.

    Happens all the time in my neck of the woods. I never leave my wheel house on the lake, pull it home every single time that I use it. It is honestly quite sad how low some people will stoop.

    Snowmobiling, golfing, and video games. It would sure suck losing the ability to harvest your own wild game and fish. I'd be spending a lot more at the grocery store.

    Stayed in my ice house on Audubon from Friday until Sunday. My tracks didn't even blow in. Sorry guys, but I'm glad this storm stayed East!
