    Does anyone here target carp?

I had a friend request that I kept one so he could smoke it. The watershed it came from was clean and cold water, he had the fish 15 minutes after it was caught, and used his father's secret brine. I can honestly say that it was pretty good.

    Does anyone here target carp?

What takes the most time to learn is what is a "happy" fish, and one that is just cruising by. A lot of guys will look for tails, fish head down rooting in the mud. I have found that these fish, although happy and feeding, are harder to catch than one that is swimming by in a happy manner. The...

That's what I've heard. I have a buddy in MT that is starting to get them figured out, so now I want to play as well. Say when.......I have boat, willing to travel. For rods-make sure it has a fighting butt. I usually run about 6' straight 12 lb floro for a leader.

    Songbird

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgxXSfto6Vo This is a crazy film about the world a few years from now. COVID-21 is out there, and the govt. has taken control. Citizens have to submit a temp check every morning, and if you have a fever, the govt comes and takes you away. Anyway, I thought it...

    Does anyone here target carp?

I wouldn't mind targeting buffalo-I have never seen one swim. I would like to figure out how to get some drum on a fly as well. We have some here, but I haven't spent any time pursuing them. Do you have those around as well?

    Does anyone here target carp?

I call them poopfish. Most people hate them, but I love them. It all started the summer of '08 when gas prices were out of control, so I decided to stick closer to home. At first, they kicked my ass, but I spent hours upon hours chasing them. I gazed at Google Earth looking for new water...

Cut a hole, drill a few more, cut out the seats, fill with rocks, fill dirt, then topsoil. It gives the lady something to do and...

    New Guy Here

What's his name? I hope it isn't Kanye. Yeah, it is a nice place, but too many trout. The closest pike for me would be a three hour trip over the mountain. My main lake, and THE ONLY lake in Wyoming with pike, is 5 hours away, but totally worth the haul.

    New Here Looking to Learn

You don't have to worry about me keeping any fish.....especially on the road. As for what I would like to catch-I will be with my girl, so it would be nice to have a 36+ fish follow or eat every other cast. However, that is just a dream, so numbers over size would be good. But it doesn't help...

    New Here Looking to Learn

I live in Cody, WY, about 50 miles from Yellowstone. I fly fish and do some guiding for trout in the summer. When I get to fish for myself, I don't want to chase trout, so I will target carp, smallies, but pike are my new addiction. I would like to haul the boat east and check out ND. I have...
