    Barrel burners

In what caliber? There are other factors, but in general, "barrel burning" is a function of powder capacity vs bore size. The more burnt propellant / flame you stuff down a small hole on each shot, the more erosion it causes. The smaller the hole, the more erosion. That's why a 22 Creedmoor...

    Barrel burners

It all depends on what you're using it for. For a big game hunting rifle, I wouldn't worry about it at all. You're not going to wear a barrel out in your lifetime anyway. Now if you want to also bang steel with it, then you have to consider the costs (time and money) of slapping new barrels...

    Rifle Scope?

The Sig Tango line is pretty darn good. Japan built. I would guess this "Canyon" line is made in China. -- No experience but probably what you would expect out of a $300 scope. However, their Kilo range finders are very good and highly regarded. What's interesting is that they have two 2800...

    Snowmobile

I would skip the 90s and look at early 2000's fuel injected Arctic Cats, like a ZR or ZL in the 500 to 600 range. I like Polaris sleds as well, but in those days, they were pretty much all carbureted, and F that noise.

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

We called in a bobcat one time, but it was not yet bobcat season, so I let it walk. There have been a few badgers that were not so lucky.

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

Naw... I've done some youtube things, and I think trying to get good video would take a lot of the fun out of it. Besides, I don't have time to be doing video editing and all the other associated garbage.

    I HATE coyotes!!!!

We scratched out 35 last week between daytime and thermal, including a couple triples and a quad. Sorry @KDM, they were all SD yotes, so probably no help to you. Killed some that hung up at 326, 338, and 460, but I also missed 2 between 350 and 400 😞.

    Wyoming all you can kill

"Allemand initially suggested that ranchers would be able to sell their unlimited take permits if they wanted to, but WGFD chief game warden Rick King nipped this idea in the bud, according to CSD. King argued that this would only incentivize landowners to keep elk populations high and create an...

NDA Ammo and Reloading Component TRADE thread

As of last night, there were 4 bricks of CCI 200, probably 7-10 of Winchester large rifle, and even some Remington 9 1/2 at Fargo Scheels. Also, I didn't see any indication of a new run on loaded ammo. There's literally tons of it on the shelves. I'm sure certain cartridges are still rare...

Price of land just keeps going

I'm getting things lined up to plant another 850 trees on my quarter next spring. SD Game and Fish is going to pay 75% out of their "Woody Habitat" program, which I believe is funded by hunting license sales. I guess that's still kind of a "tax", but one I can get along with.

NDA Ammo and Reloading Component TRADE thread

This was Tuesday evening last week (10/10). Sounds like they were all gone by Friday (or earlier). Yesterday (10/18) morning they had several bricks Winchester Large Rifle. First I've seen those in years and I'm running low, so I bought one brick even though the price was ridiculous...
